The happiest of the Happy Islanders.

In spite of a bit of rain, mother nature cooperated and brought us some ideal camping weather.  Pot Luck was held on the Tuesday eve and thanks to the McLeod's large outside TV, we enjoyed videos about the creation of both McLean's Mill and the building of the Malahat highway. Eight units were in attendance and everyone enjoyed roaming the ranch, visiting the horses and taking in the wildlife.

Nature at its best!

The fish were jumping and the deer were everywhere.  If you look closely you will see Bambi on the rocks in the middle of the river. Bob, our host was surprised the black bears had not come to visit.  There was sign but no sightings and no encounters.

Without a doubt a great place to camp.
