HIRV McLean Mill 2019

Waiting for the show to begin.


A great and educational campout at McLean Mill in Port Alberni.  Six units attended including two guests.  Welcome to the club Elaine and Dave Burwood as well as Maureen and Dennis Mcleod. Although the Mill has been inactive it was brought to life by our guide during our guided tour.

Waiting for resurrection

Great hiking and biking area. Lots to see and do,  Campground is uncompleted and is on hold due to some environmental concerns.  The City of Port Alberni has taken over management and we're hoping problems will be resolved and site will be available in the future.

From here we proceeded to the RG Ranch, a few kilometers down the road.

 Always a great view and always somewhere to walk to. With seven units attending, we had our club BBQ. Food and fun, that's what we are all about. A milestone for me, my sixth birthday (count the candles). Hope to see you all in Sooke later this month.

HIRV Kickoff Luncheon 2023

 April 12 saw our 2023 season kickoff luncheon at Boston Pizza on Turner Road in Nanaimo. The 2023 Itinerary was presented with an additional campout at Sooke River Campground in July Everyone enjoyed their lunch and we all look forward to the first Campout at Kin Beach on April 25th.
