2019 Itinerary – Happy Islanders RV

(Each member will be asked to host an outing. If you are scheduled and cannot attend, it is your responsibility to find a replacement)

April 4             Season Opening Lunch - Piccadilly Bistro, 2367 Arbot Rd,                                         Nanaimo, 11:30am

April 16 – 18   Kin Beach Provincial Campground (dry camping, no dump site), 1712 Astra Bay Rd., Comox, 250-339-6365

Directions: Follow 19A thru Courtenay, turn right on Ryan Rd. at Superstore. After about 6K turn left on Little River Rd., another 1.5K turn right on Kilmorley Rd. After 1K bare right on Astra. Campground at bottom of hill.

Confirmed. Rates: $15 cash, tax included. Host: DeClark

May 7 – 9    Osborne Bay Resort, (full & partial hookups) 1450 Charlotte St., Crofton, 250-246-4787 www.OsborneBayResort.com 

Directions: On road to Salt Spring Ferry turn right on Queen just before terminal. After several blocks, turn left on Charlotte.

Confirmed. Rates: $37 & 44 plus GST. Call to confirm a site. Host: Campbell

June 17 - 19 McLean Mill Historic Park (7 sites power/water, 3 sites dry camping, no dump site) 5633 Smith Road, Port Alberni. 250-723-1376 mcleanmill.ca/campground

Directions: Hwy 4 thru Port Alberni, turn right on Beaver Creek Rd. After about 5.5K, Smith Rd. on the right. About 3K Park on the left.

Confirmed. Rates: $35 with power/water, $25 dry camp. Host: Stav

June 20 – 22   Triple RG Ranch, (full hookups), 7300 Plymouth Rd.,  Port  Alberni.

Directions: Hwy 4 thru Port Alberni, turn right on Beaver Creek Rd. After about 7K turn left on McKenzie Rd. After about .9Kturn left on Davenport Rd. This becomes Plymouth Rd. Follow to the end into the ranch entry. Stay on long driveway to campground.

Confirmed. Rates: $35 cash. Host: Scheffers

July 2 – 4        Living Forest "Group Campsite", (full hookups), 6 Maki Rd.,  Nanaimo, 250-755-1755 www.livingforest.com

Directions: Hwy 1 to Chase River. Right on Maki Rd. at Rona. Follow road to the end.

Confirmed. Rates: $52.50 tax included. (no TV in inner circle). Host: Ebdrup

Directions: Follow 19A thru Courtenay, turn right on Ryan Rd. at Superstore. After about 4K turn left on Anderton Rd. After 1.5K turn left onto Anderton Rd. witch becomes Waveland Rd. Continue 3K and turn left onto Larch.

Confirmed but register 1 month prior. Rates $50.40 tax. Host: Geerdink

Sept 10 – 12   Qualicum Bay Resort, (full hookups), 5970 Hwy 19A, Qualicum Bay, 250-757-2003 resortbc.com/wp/rv-campground/

Directions: Hwy 19 exit 75 right, Horne Lake Rd. After about 3K turn left on 19A. After 1.6K resort on left.

Confirmed. Rates: $34, $38 with TV plus GST (last years rate). Call to confirm a site. Host: DeClark/James

Oct 1 - 3    Rondalyn Resort, (full hookups), 1350 Timberlands Rd., Ladysmith

Directions: Hwy 1, 9K north of Ladysmith, 10K south of Nanaimo  turn onto Timberlands Rd. Continue 4.5K to resort
