August Campout 2018 - Kin Beach


Not quite a Banyan Tree but close enough. Good turnout for dry camping. Lots of walks and Bocce to spend the time.  In spite of the smoke, the weather was great.


The other tree? Not quite shady enough.

August Campout 2018 - Seal Bay


 The smoke cleared and the sun came out in full force. Twelve units attending including two new members.  Welcome to the Armstrongs and the Rabbitts.

As usual, eating was a prime activity during this Campout.  Pot luck Tuesday and Bar-b-que put on by Miep and Joop on Thursday. Thankyou.



Other activities included "the auction", lots of walking and several rounds of Bocce. The girls really showing their form.

 Always a great view and always somewhere to walk to. With seven units attending, we had our club BBQ. Food and fun, that's what we are all about. A milestone for me, my sixth birthday (count the candles). Hope to see you all in Sooke later this month.

HIRV Kickoff Luncheon 2023

 April 12 saw our 2023 season kickoff luncheon at Boston Pizza on Turner Road in Nanaimo. The 2023 Itinerary was presented with an additional campout at Sooke River Campground in July Everyone enjoyed their lunch and we all look forward to the first Campout at Kin Beach on April 25th.
