HIRV Sooke River 2023

 A great turnout at Sooke River Campground, ten units attending. Welcome new members Carol and Wayne DeClark. Friendly wildlife. We had a great Pot Luck dinner and thanks to our hosts, Jean and Joop, a tasty and filling breakfast of sausage and pancakes. Thanks, you two!

HIRV July 2023 Living Forest

 Always a great view and always somewhere to walk to. With seven units attending, we had our club BBQ. Food and fun, that's what we are all about. A milestone for me, my sixth birthday (count the candles). Hope to see you all in Sooke later this month.

HIRV May 2023 Osborne Bay

  Great weather greeted us at Osborne Bay. Shade was at a premium. Thirteen units attending. Activities included a hike up to Crofton Lake and dinner out at the Osborne Bay Pub. Thanks to Karen and Arve for hosting. We welcomed new members Wendy and Randy McKinnon.  A must for next year.

HIRV April 2023 Kin Beach

  A great kickoff to the 2023 camping season. Ten units attending were entertained by the RCAF Snowbirds practice sessions at Comox AFB. We also welcomed new members Pam and Fred Mann. The cool weather didn't deter our enthusiasm and we enjoyed a fine meal at the Griffin Pub. Hope to see you all in Osborne Bay next month.

HIRV Kickoff Luncheon 2023

 April 12 saw our 2023 season kickoff luncheon at Boston Pizza on Turner Road in Nanaimo. The 2023 Itinerary was presented with an additional campout at Sooke River Campground in July Everyone enjoyed their lunch and we all look forward to the first Campout at Kin Beach on April 25th.

HIRV Oct 2022 Rondalyn

  Day or night we had a great time. This was our final campout of the season and our Thanksgiving dinner. As you can see, everyone waiting with bated breath for dinner to be ready. Also our annual general meeting was held on the final evening of this campout.

  Beautiful sunrise captured by Carol and warm afternoons greeted us at Sooke River Campground. We welcomed new members Judith and Roy Fedirchuk. Pot Luck was as tasty as usual. Overall a great campout.

  Always a pleasure Seal Bay. Unlimited hiking and biking in this area.  Hot days and cool evenings. We had an intimate group for this campout.
