Happy Islanders RV

  May's campout was a great success. We had 10 units attending plus one guest and the weather was quite a bit nicer than last month - almost spring.   However the weather didn't stop us from having fun. Maureen and Dennis organized a treasure hunt for some very unusual items. That didn't deter Barb and Wolf as they came up with 13 of the 15 items. Jean and Joop, Ann and Dave, a close second with 12. Most of all everyone had a good time . Thanks again to Maureen and Dennis. We all went to the Brass Bell for dinner on Wednesday. Unfortunately they were short staffed and some of the food was below their usual standards and slow to come out of the kitchen. However the girls ran themselves ragged trying to keep up with us. That was appreciated. Maybe next year. All in all, lots of hiking, biking, strolling and chilling. Our next campout is the Ranch. Maxine and Ken will be hosting and plan a pot luck. Have fun, we expect a good turnout.

In spite of the cool weather we had ten units attending our first campout of the year.  The rains held off but the temperature was more like November than April. But as you can see everyone bundled up for the occasion. A special welcome to new members, Dave & Ann Bygrove and Roy & Judith Fedirchuk. Also rejoining the club is Allen & Dagmar Looy. As usual the Snowbirds didn't disappoint. Technical problems cancelled one of their performances but with two shows a day we had lots to watch. Other activities included walks, beachcombing and dinner at the Griffin Pub. Dave and Elaine Burwood, who visited for the day joined us.  Other surprise visitors were former members Rick and Lynne Britz.   I hope you all enjoyed yourselves.  See you in Osborne Bay.
